Free Yoga Class

We think of Yoga as people adopting seemly impossible and twisted poses;however it is much more than this. Derived from the Sankrit word "yuj" which means "to unite or integrate"; yoga is a 5000 year old Indian body of knowledge.

Essentially, yoga is all about harmonizing the body with the mind, and breath through the means of various breathing techniques, yoga postures (asanas) and meditation.

Yoga is secular - it is about oneself and one's interaction with Nature.

Any movement of the body (be exercising, breathing , thinking or even sleeping - when we have limited muscle activity) is advantageous to the body; yoga simply works on specific muscles, passively unlike exercise which does actively.
