All Communal Events Cancelled

Due to increased cases of Covid-19  in Bristol and South Gloucestershire all communal events planned over Diwali – i.e. Hanuman Chalisa on 3rd November, Chopda pujan on  4th November and Annakut celebrations on 5th November are cancelled.

The Mandir, however, will remain open for darshan, as usual, from 8:00 to 10:00 am and 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Please observe  Covid measures.

Diwali Day, 4th November

The Mandir will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 pm as usual, with the evening arti performed at 7:30pm.

New Year’s/Annakut Day, 5th November

While there will be no Annakut,  the Mandir will be open from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for mid-day New Year's day darshan.

To ensure that a thaal is offered to all deities in the Mandir,  on Annakut day, we would like 18 families (9 for mid-day and 9 for evening) to prepare and bring a full thaal.

For afternoon, please be at Mandir by 12:00 noon so a thaal can be sung around 12:15 pm  followed by aarti at 12:30.

For evening bring the thaal by 7:00 pm, so that the thaal  can be sung at 7:15 pm followed by aarti at 7:30 pm.

All families will have to take their thaal  back home.

If you wish to offer a thaal,  please  text or WhatsApp a  message to 0786 949 3855 stating which of the following deities, you want to offer the  thaal and for which session,  mid-day or evening:

Ganesh and Mataji  (one thaal)

Shiv Mandir

Radha Krishna

Jalaram Mandir

Shiv Parvati

Swaminarayan Mandir

Ram, Laxman and Sitaji

Saibaba Mandir

Dattatrey and Hanumanji  (one thaal)

Why not come in for a guided tour to look around the Temple and learn about many Hindu Gods/Deities? The Panditji (our priest) will be glad to show you around during the opening hours. Students are very welcome. The temple is open for school visits on weekdays between by prior appointment.
