It aims at enriching moral and social values in children and achieves this through the teachings of Lord Krishna. Balagokulam is a forum for children to discover the childhood days of Krishna and his powers.It is a children's movement founded during mid 1970s in Kerala, India. It aims at enriching moral and social values in children and achieves this through the teachings of LordKrishna..It helps to enable Hindu children, outside Indian, to appreciate their cultural roots and learn the Hindu values of life.This is done through games, stories, bhajans, shlokas, art & craft and yoga.Gokulam is where Krishna had his childhood days, and it was here that his divine was manifested.

Balagokulum Bristol


Balagokulum Bristol meets every Saturday term times from 2pm to 3.30pm at The Hindu Temple, Bristol.

The group is for the whole family, teaching sanskar and values of the Hindu culture through games, stories/videos known as Baudik sessions, and songs.

Children aged from 3 years to 13 years can attent the group. Their parents have to be present throughout the sessions.

Why not come in for a guided tour to look around the Temple and learn about many Hindu Gods/Deities? The Panditji (our priest) will be glad to show you around during the opening hours. Students are very welcome. The temple is open for school visits on weekdays between by prior appointment.
